Quality Specialist

QUALITY SUPERVISOR
JOB LOCATION: COLUMBIA CITY, IN

Lear Corporation is currently seeking a Quality Specialist to join our growing Team! The right candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills with a minimum of 2 years of education (Associate's Degree); 4 years preferred(Bachelor's Degree). Candidate must be very flexible with their work schedule and available to work overtime as needed.

This posiiton will require work on 2nd and/or 3rd shift. You will also rotate from our main plant to our Customer's plant on a scheduled basis. Flexibility is a must.

This role will plan, and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordination of work activities of hourly team members.
• Communicate shop floor problems/defects to the personnel responsible for corrective action.
• Establish and adjust resources to meet production schedules.
• Analyze and resolve problems or assist in finding solutions to problems.
• Inspect products to ensure adherence to conformance specifications.
• Ensure general machine maintenance and product quality.
• Initiate action to reduce and prevent product nonconformance occurrences related to the product.
• Recommend measures to improve efficiency, regarding production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Initiate plans and encourage employees to meet work goals.
• Participate in inspection and testing for new launches.
• Serve as a customer liaison between Lear Columbia City and GM at their Fort Wayne plant.
• Engage in public relations work for all areas involving Lear seats at GM.
• Ensure cleanliness of your quality team's workplace.
• Partner with your Team Lead to ensure proper labor planning and rotation schedule.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
• Champion the High-Performance Work Team model.
• (ImplementorChampion) company policies and safety regulations for employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of education (4 years preferred)
• General knowledge of computer communication systems (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
