| Position Summary |
The Research Technician will support research activities in the Department of Genetics within Dr. Alicia Rogers' laboratory. This position will contribute to establishing a research program focused on small
RNA biology and understanding how small
RNA pathways regulate gene expression during stress in
Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans). Responsibilities include assisting with laboratory experiments, maintaining laboratory materials and media, collecting and organizing research data, and supporting studies utilizing molecular genetics, microscopy, image analysis, and bioinformatics approaches. The position works closely with the principal investigator, graduate students, and other laboratory personnel in a collaborative research environment. |

Research Support and Experimental Activities
- Assist with laboratory experiments related to small RNA biology, gene regulation, fertility, and development in C. elegans.
- Perform routine molecular genetics and microscopy procedures according to established protocols.
- Collect, organize, and maintain experimental data and laboratory records.
- Assist with image analysis and other research-related data collection activities.
- Support ongoing research projects under the direction of the principal investigator and graduate students.

- Ensure materials are accurately prepared, labeled, and stored according to laboratory procedures.
