We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse - Infection Prevention to join our team at Avantara Evergreen Park. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests. You will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and implementing strategies to prevent and control infections, as well as providing exceptional nursing care to our guests.

About the Role:

• Identify, report, and investigate possible infections and outbreaks

• Develop and implement strategies to prevent and control infections

• Collaborate with the infection prevention team to ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures

• Provide education and training to guests, families, and staff on infection prevention strategies

• Monitor and document infection control activities, including tracking and reporting infections and outbreaks

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote a culture of safety and excellence

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to guests with varying levels of acuity and complexity

• Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote positive outcomes

• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care

• Communicate effectively with guests, families, and healthcare team members

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and outcomes

• Participate in shift report and handovers to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state of Illinois

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting

• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
