Position Overview

We are seeking a Category Management Specialist - Holiday to support the growth and development of our Holiday business, with a particular focus on Fraser Hill Farm and Haunted Hill Farm. This early-career opportunity offers hands-on experience across the product lifecycle, including product development, setup, pricing, promotions, marketing activation, sales support, and business analysis.

The Category Management Specialist will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Planning, Operations, and Category Management to bring products to market and drive business growth. The role provides exposure to product management, category management, merchandising, e-commerce, and retail, with a primary focus on Holiday products and our owned brands.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Category Management
  • Support the execution of the Holiday category strategy, with a focus on Fraser Hill Farm and Haunted Hill Farm.
  • Assist in identifying and developing new product opportunities based on market trends, customer needs, and business performance.
  • Support product development, including specifications, samples, pricing, and launch requirements.
  • Manage product information, SKUs, pricing, attributes, and related data across internal and customer platforms.
  • Maintain category documentation, assortment planning tools, and reporting.
  • Assist with SKU reporting, bundle setup, and assortment optimization.

Business Performance & Analysis
  • Analyze sales, margin, pricing, promotional, and product performance to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare reports and insights to support commercial decision-making.
  • Monitor category performance, new product launches, and competitive activity.
  • Support forecasting, seasonal planning, pricing analysis, and growth initiatives.

Sales Partnership & Growth
  • Partner with Sales to support growth opportunities across customers and channels.
  • Provide product information, pricing, competitive insights, and recommendations for customer meetings and line reviews.
  • Support customer presentations, launches, and sales initiatives.
  • Gather customer feedback and help drive commercial opportunities from concept through execution.

Marketing & Brand Activation
  • Partner with Marketing to support the launch and promotion of Holiday products.
  • Assist with product positioning, content development, imagery, specifications, and e-commerce activation.
  • Support digital shelf optimization, seasonal campaigns, and brand growth initiatives.

Product Setup & Launch
  • Coordinate product setup activities to ensure successful and timely product launches.
  • Maintain launch trackers and ensure product data is accurate and complete.
  • Support launch execution and post-launch analysis.

Procurement & Planning Partnership
  • Partner with Procurement and Planning to support product launches and supply management.
  • Assist with forecasting, inventory planning, supplier communications, pricing, and documentation.
  • Monitor product availability and support supplier-funded initiatives and vendor follow-up activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Support issue resolution impacting customers, suppliers, and product availability.
  • Assist with vendor-related initiatives, follow-up activities, and category projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience or internship experience in retail, merchandising, product management, category management, e-commerce, or data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong interest in products, retail, e-commerce, and consumer trends.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, curious, and willing to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
