About Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital is dedicated to providing behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and teens ages 3 to 17. Job Summary: Provides secretarial, clerical and scheduling support for the Director of Nursing and Nursing Department. Maintains employee records. Prepares and distributes staffing schedules. Performs payroll duties and monitors employee performance evaluations. Monitors keys. Maintains department manuals. Schedules outside consults. Provides clerical support to House Physicians. Maintains office, work and supply areas. Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years administrative experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Staff scheduling experience strongly preferred. Experience with office systems and equipment and computer skills required. Knowledge: Good overall knowledge of general office systems and excellent organizational skills are essential. Word processing skills are required. Language and communication skills with hospital staff, physicians, community members, referral sources, and others is essential. Must be able to manage multiple tasks.
