About the Role We are seeking a talented and dynamic designer to become an integral part of a fast-paced creative team. In this role, you won't just be executing designs; you'll be a key player in translating high-level creative concepts into captivating digital experiences. Working with a rapid weekly cadence, you'll see your designs go live quickly, directly influencing customer engagement and brand perception. This position offers a unique pathway from a holiday-season contract to a full-time role, providing a fantastic opportunity for long-term growth and impact within a leading brand. What You'll Do
- Design elevated, on-brand seasonal creative that fulfills brief requests for launches, promotions, and everything in between, consistently delivering visually stunning and effective digital assets.
- Concept with a forward-thinking lens, actively contributing to building compelling campaigns for upcoming seasons and driving innovative visual strategies.
- Execute polished comps, ideas, and mockups for weekly and leadership presentations, effectively communicating design concepts and rationale.
- Bring pitched concepts to life and help execute already-concepted campaigns under the direction of the Art Director, ensuring creative vision is realized with precision.
- Check live site and app creative to validate it was built as designed, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Update creative to reflect the latest status in a fast-moving landscape, demonstrating adaptability and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
- Ensure pixel-perfect production and delivery across all digital platforms, upholding the brand's commitment to excellence.
- Create organized files, folder structures, prototypes, and share links for final creative, promoting efficient workflows and collaboration.
- Maintain Figma component libraries so they stay current with the design language and live site specs, contributing to a scalable and consistent design system.
- Build strong relationships with teammates and cross-functional partners, communicating clearly and proactively regarding questions or changes.
- Work directly with developers and designers, comfortably using web development standards and terminology to bridge design and implementation.
- Utilize Chrome developer tools to pull CSS info and troubleshoot, demonstrating a practical understanding of front-end development principles.
Tools You'll Master
- Workfront for ingesting briefs and managing project workflows.
- Figma for design, prototyping, and maintaining component libraries.
- Adobe Creative Suite on Mac for comprehensive creative tasks.
- WordPress experience is a valuable plus.
What You Bring Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- 3-4 years in a design role preferred (internship experience counts), showcasing a solid foundation in digital design principles.
- Fluency in Mac, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma, demonstrating proficiency with industry-standard design tools.
- Deep working knowledge of Figma, including components, variants, and libraries, for efficient and scalable design.
- Strong creative production, organization, and design skills, with a portfolio that reflects your capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision and quality in every design output.
- Ability to work quickly and absorb changes in a fast-paced environment, thriving under tight deadlines.
- Experience creating playful, compelling animations and video for digital sites and platforms, adding dynamic elements to user experiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous fashion, beauty, or retail design experience, understanding the unique demands of consumer-facing brands.
- Working knowledge of web development standards and how design translates to build, facilitating smoother handoffs and implementation.
- WordPress experience, demonstrating versatility in content management systems.
