Join a leading innovator at the forefront of critical infrastructure solutions, where your expertise will power the next generation of hyperscale data centers and advanced modular projects. We are partnering with Aquent to find exceptional talent to drive our mission forward.

Are you ready to design the electrical backbone of the future? We are seeking a meticulous and innovative professional to join our dynamic engineering team, where you will be instrumental in transforming complex electrical concepts into tangible, high-quality designs for cutting-edge infrastructure. This is a pivotal opportunity to make a significant impact, bringing your expertise to projects that define the digital landscape. You will play a crucial role in delivering robust and reliable electrical systems that meet the demands of tomorrow's technology.

Impact You'll Make

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of advanced modular infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and management to produce high-quality electrical drawings, sophisticated 3D models, and comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs). Your independent creation, checking, and approval of electrical deliverables will ensure all designs adhere to stringent customer specifications, internal quality standards, and relevant industry codes, directly contributing to the success and safety of our groundbreaking projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and finalize detailed electrical drawing packages, including single-line electrical wiring schematics, panel layouts, panel drawings, cable routing, interconnect diagrams, loop diagrams, lighting layouts, instrument location plans, earthing details, and I/O schedules.
  • Prepare bulk Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) independently.
  • Assist service and project personnel in troubleshooting technical issues by simulating physical and electrical layouts within design tools.
  • Prepare sequence drawings and procedures for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and compile complete installation procedures for customer submission.
  • Review vendor data, 3D models, and drawings for specification compliance, and supervise design work outsourced to third-party engineering firms.
  • Ensure all designs align with engineering standards, QA/QC protocols, and applicable industry codes (IEC, IBC, NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
  • Provide "Lessons Learned" feedback from project execution to refine internal tools, design workflows, and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Technical Certification or Associate Degree in Electrical Design, Drafting, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience: 5 to 15 years of hands-on electrical design and drafting experience in modular EPC projects, high-density data centers, or hyperscale environments.
  • 3D CAD / Modeling: Proficiency and mastery in SolidWorks (Mandatory) and Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Model Review: Mastery in Navisworks Manager / Freedom for model coordination and clash detection.
  • Software Tools: High proficiency with PDF editing software (Adobe Acrobat, Foxit, etc.) and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Codes & Standards: General operational knowledge of industry standards including NEC, NFPA, IEC, IBC, and OSHA guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications to Set You Apart

  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and Autodesk BIM 360.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically SAP (Engineering modules and transactions).
  • Direct experience with hyperscale data center power distribution modules and packaged electrical buildings.

Professional Attributes

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting technical layout drawings to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Highly adaptable with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
