Explore Career Pathways for Pharmacy Professionals:

  • The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.
  • Trained in the compounding of non-sterile medications in accordance with regulatory agencies and organizational policies.
  • Accurately restock and replenish pharmacy with inventory.
  • Ensure all expired, damaged, or compromisted medication in pharmacy, automated machines, and floor stock are removed and segregated from active inventory.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of activities in accordance with policy, and files appropriate documentation records in a neat and retrievable manner.
  • Assistin training of newly hired pharmacy technicians.
  • Prepare sterile intravenous admixtures aseptically and in accordance with USP 797/800, State Board of Pharmacy regulations and organizational policies.

Job Requrements:

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment.

Preferred Job Requrements:

  • 1 year previous hospital pharmacy technician experience.
  • National Certification (CPhT) (may be required by the state of employment).
  • Current BLS.
