What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Senior Cloud Systems Engineer leads the design, development, and operation of Telecare's hybrid cloud infrastructure with a focus on cost-effectiveness, availability, performance, security and scalability. They provide support for on-premises data center, private cloud, public cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, database engineering, storage, and site reliability engineering, as well as makes recommendations to leverage public cloud efficiency while maintaining secure data on-premises.

Shifts Available:

Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM | Days: Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $116,481.18 - $150,000.00. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead projects, technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and migration efforts related to infrastructure modernization.
• Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure across on-prem and public cloud environments.
• Architect and support virtualization platforms and VMware alternative technologies.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and root-cause analysis.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and standards.
• Design and support storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, perform tuning and optimization.
• Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and availability requirements.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Collaborates with IT partners on set up and integration for secure connectivity.
• Advises leadership on hybrid cloud updates, regulatory changes and recommends policy updates.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 or more years of experience and deep working knowledge of Microsoft Azure that includes functional practical knowledge in automating Microsoft Azure reliability solutions such as HA/DR configuration, multi-AZ and multi-region deployment, auto scaling, etc.
• Experience in integrating Azure cloud with third party software, other SaaS services or on-premises applications.
• Minimum of 10 years of proven knowledge managing server and storage hardware, software, including Dell Server and Storage Systems (or equivalent), Windows, Linux, etc.
• Minimum of 5 years managing Datacenter environments through PowerShell and Bash scripting, SCCM, Intune or equivalent tools.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Infrastructure (Active Directory, MS Entra ID, Group Policy, etc.)
• Expert knowledge of VMware vSphere virtualization technologies using vCenter.
• Strong ability to collaborate with business stakeholders both within IT and outside of it.
• Significant experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP, Firewalls, VPN, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring frameworks (e.g. SolarWinds Orion, Datadog).
• Must demonstrate good understanding of ITIL, including service management, capacity management, change management and documentation.
• Knowledge of modern security practices and protocols.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, a valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.

Preferred:

• Experience with disaster recovery solutions, including documentation and testing.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and related technologies.
• Experience with Citrix CVAD.
• Experience with PowerShell and/or bash scripting.
