This position is responsible for the operation of power house equipment to include air compressors, boilers, engines, generators, control panels, pumps, etc. used to supply power and steam for manufacturing and heating.
Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Operates air compressor, boilers, and auxiliary equipment to furnish air, steam for power, heat and/or processing.
  2. Work from scheduled power needs, check lists, and follow established procedures.
  3. Start and shut down equipment; change over boilers as directed.
  4. Regulate firing and output to safely meet system needs.
  5. Check equipment periodically; recognize and report defective or malfunctioning equipment.
  6. Clean boilers, perform general maintenance work and assist in replacing equipment in and around boiler room.

  • National Institute for Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers Inc. (NIULPE) or American Society of Power Engineers Fourth Class license (ASPE), or 4 years of equivalent experience required.
