Job Summary:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communication strategies that build brand equity across the Commercial Division's portfolio of brands. This leadership role oversees marketing initiatives, agency partnerships, product launch communications, trade show strategy, and team management to support business growth and sales objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership & Budget Management



  • Lead and manage the Marketing team, including oversight of external vendor relationships such as creative agencies, public relations agencies, print vendors, and other marketing partners.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the marketing budget to ensure effective allocation of resources and alignment with business objectives.
  • Issue and approve purchase orders and ensure timely review and payment of invoices.


Agency & Communications Management



  • Manage relationships with external creative agencies to ensure the development and execution of marketing campaigns that support strategic brand initiatives.
  • Partner with external public relations agencies to develop and execute public relations activities, including press releases, editorial opportunities, and media outreach, which align with strategic brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to develop and implement social media strategies and content that support brand positioning and business goals.


Social Media Strategy & Content Management



  • Develop, implement, and oversee social media strategies that strengthen brand awareness, support business objectives, and drive audience engagement across all Commercial Division brands.
  • Manage the creation, editorial planning, approval, and distribution of social media content across all relevant digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, product design teams, sales leadership, and external agencies to develop compelling social media campaigns that support product launches, events, brand initiatives, and marketing objectives.
  • Ensure all social media content aligns with brand standards, messaging guidelines, and overall marketing strategy.
  • Monitor social media performance metrics and analytics to measure effectiveness, identify trends, and optimize content strategies.
  • Oversee the development of social media assets, including graphics, photography, video, and written content, ensuring consistency and quality across all channels.
  • Manage external agency partners and content creators to execute social media initiatives and maintain an active and engaging digital presence.
  • Stay informed of emerging social media trends, technologies, and best practices, making recommendations to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
  • Coordinate social media coverage and content creation for trade shows, product launches, sales meetings, and other corporate events.


Product Launch & Content Development



  • Work closely with Commercial Product Design, Manufacturing and Samples Logistics teams to manage product launch schedules and timelines.
  • Partner with Product Design teams to develop and execute product launch campaigns across all market segments.
  • Coordinate with creative agencies to develop launch materials and marketing content, including but not limited to product portfolios, brochures, videos, presentations, and supporting collateral.


Brand & Event Management



  • Manage and coordinate photography projects, including product photography, editorial photography, and related visual content initiatives.
  • Oversee all social media for the commercial division.
  • Lead the development and execution of communication strategies for national trade shows, including NeoCon and other key industry events.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Sales to develop communication strategies and creative direction for National Sales Meetings and oversee event execution.


Training & Cross-Functional Support



  • Participate in new sales representative training programs and provide marketing support as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales, Product Design, and other internal departments to support organizational initiatives and objectives.


Performance Expectations (if applicable):



  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to thirty pounds.
  • Occasional stooping and reaching may be required.
  • Prolonged periods of computer use, including keyboarding and monitor viewing, up to eight + hours per day.


Experience/Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a marketing leadership role including creative art direction with flooring industry marketing experience preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage go-to-market strategies and plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Excellent written communication, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage both small and large diverse audiences.
  • Proven leadership, collaboration, and team-building capabilities.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach with a commitment to support field sales teams, sales leadership, and other internal departments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and project management skills.


Other Requirements:



  • All other duties assigned by the SVP of Commercial
  • Travel is required as needed.
