Overview
The Global eCommerce and Web team is a global team at Microsoft responsible for sales across Modern Life (Windows, Microsoft 365, and Surface) and Gaming. We put the consumer at the center, helping them discover, learn, and buy through direct and partner channels in over 120 countries around the world. The Data Engineering & Governance team is an integral part of Global eCommerce and Web, providing the data necessary to run these businesses, used by both non-managers and executives alike. We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer II with experiencecreating and working with big data systems. Weoperateat a scale that few others do, processing datadailythrough various systems. We useseveraldifferent programming languages and work on several different platforms. Security and compliance are paramount in all that we do. We are looking for an engineer who has experienceusingMicrosoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure, andwho isfamiliar with the Security Development Lifecycle (SDLC), security assessments, vulnerability management, and compliancewith privacy regulations. They willalsobe excited about learning the newest technologiesandwill think deeply about how to keep new and existing systems secure and compliant with ever-changing privacy regulations. In this role, you should becomfortable working individually on complexprojects as well as within a team.Youwill help architect and implementsolutions,whilealsoguidingothers in the implementation of solutions.Youwillalsoregularly interact with people across the company and outside the company in various roles, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of various stakeholders. Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100 - $202,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
