Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a AI Business Partner, Senior to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The AI Business Partner serves as a strategic liaison between the AI & Automation Center of Excellence and assigned business units, helping leaders identify, evaluate, and advance practical AI opportunities that improve operational performance, product capability, service quality, and user experience. This role is responsible for bringing a strong foundational understanding of AI, generative AI, automation, and data-driven innovation into business discussions to help teams understand the "art of the possible" while translating ideas into actionable opportunities.

Deployed within the HealthTech Systems organization, this role will work closely with leaders and teams supporting provider and claims software platforms, services, and operations. The AI Business Partner will combine domain knowledge of healthcare administration workflows with AI fluency to uncover high-value use cases, shape business cases, support prioritization, and coordinate with product, technology, operations, transformation, and AI engineering teams to move AI concepts from discovery into execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HealthTech Systems leaders to identify, assess, and prioritize AI opportunities across provider, claims, and related software and service workflows.
  • Facilitate discovery conversations and working sessions that help business teams explore AI-enabled improvements, including workflow automation, decision support, knowledge retrieval, document intelligence, and user assistance.
  • Translate business needs, pain points, and operational goals into well-defined AI opportunity statements, use case summaries, business value hypotheses, and initial solution concepts.
  • Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, transformation partners, change management, data teams, and AI engineering resources to support alignment from ideation through delivery planning.
  • Help evaluate feasibility, value, risk, data readiness, workflow impact, and stakeholder adoption considerations for proposed AI initiatives.
  • Support development of business cases, intake materials, prioritization recommendations, and executive-level summaries for AI opportunities within HealthTech Systems.
  • Promote responsible AI practices by helping business teams understand appropriate AI use, human oversight needs, data sensitivity, privacy considerations, and operational risk factors.
  • Track AI opportunity progress, stakeholder feedback, adoption themes, and realized or anticipated business impact to support ongoing portfolio management and continuous improvement.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other education- and experience-related duties that management may deem necessary from time to time.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience working in healthcare technology, healthcare operations, product management, business analysis, consulting, transformation, or a related business-facing role.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare administration workflows, preferably including provider systems, claims platforms, utilization management, care management, or payer/provider service operations.
  • Foundational understanding of AI, generative AI, automation, data analytics, and emerging technology concepts, with the ability to explain them clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders to identify operational challenges, frame opportunities, and translate needs into structured requirements or solution concepts.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to lead discovery sessions and synthesize input across diverse teams.
  • Experience supporting business case development, initiative prioritization, process improvement, or technology-enabled transformation efforts.
  • Ability to balance innovation with practical considerations such as feasibility, adoption, change impact, compliance, data sensitivity, and responsible AI use.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with AI, automation, analytics, digital transformation, or product innovation initiatives in a healthcare or software environment.
  • Familiarity with claims processing, provider data, provider portals, prior authorization, interoperability, or healthcare platform modernization.
  • Experience collaborating with AI engineers, data scientists, product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, or technical delivery teams.
