JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Scrum Master - AI-Enabled Delivery is a servant leader, Agile coach, and delivery leader who enables high-performing teams to deliver customer and business value predictably and sustainably. This role coaches teams and stakeholders in Agile ways of working, facilitates effective delivery, removes systemic impediments, and uses data and continuous improvement to strengthen team performance.
The Sr. Scrum Master plays a key role in establishing and maturing teams undergoing digital transformation and responsibly applies modern AI-enabled practices to improve analysis, collaboration, coaching, and delivery effectiveness.
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Lead and mature Agile teams, including teams new to Agile ways of working, establishing effective roles, working agreements, delivery practices, and continuous-improvement behaviors. 2. Facilitate outcome-focused Agile events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and program-level planning activities. 3. Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile principles and practices, product-oriented delivery, self-management, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. 4. Develop high-performing teams by fostering psychological safety, healthy conflict, transparency, sustainable delivery, shared ownership, and effective decision-making. 5. Identify and remove impediments and systemic constraints, proactively managing risks and cross-team dependencies and escalating organizational barriers when appropriate. 6. Use delivery and flow metrics to drive improvement, identifying trends and root causes, facilitating data-informed conversations, and measuring the effectiveness of improvement experiments. 7. Support program-level planning and execution, including PI Planning, dependency management, capacity considerations, release readiness, risk management, and cross-team alignment. 8. Apply approved AI tools responsibly to improve planning, analysis, facilitation, coaching, knowledge sharing, and administrative efficiency while applying appropriate human judgment and organizational AI governance. 9. Coach teams in effective AI-enabled ways of working, identifying opportunities where AI and automation can improve delivery while reinforcing responsible use, data protection, validation, and human oversight. 10. Advance Agile maturity across the organization by mentoring others, contributing to the Scrum Master Community of Practice, sharing successful practices and experiments, and promoting continuous learning.
REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training): * Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience. * 4+ years of Scrum Master, Agile delivery, or comparable Agile leadership experience. * Demonstrated experience coaching and maturing Agile teams, preferably including teams recently forming or adopting new ways of working. * Experience supporting multiple teams and distributed/remote teams. * Experience with scaled planning, cross-team dependency management, and complex technology delivery. * Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, flow-based delivery, and modern Agile/product practices. * Working knowledge of modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps, and quality engineering. * Demonstrated ability to use delivery metrics and qualitative insights to identify systemic issues and drive measurable improvement. * Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict-resolution, communication, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills. * Practical experience with AI-enabled productivity and collaboration tools and the ability to apply generative AI responsibly to Agile delivery and coaching. * Understanding of responsible AI practices, including data protection, validation of AI-generated output, bias awareness, and appropriate human oversight. * Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, lead through change, and build collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries. * Healthcare industry experience not necessary. COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $110K - 120k. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity.
