Job Summary:

The Manager, Sales Operations Systems Strategy & Excellence, is responsible for strategy, governance, lifecycle management, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Sales Operations technology portfolio, including Veeva CRM and supporting business applications. This role serves as the business owner for Sales Operations systems by leading CRM administration, business systems integration, master data governance, technology initiatives, and operational process improvements that enable an efficient, compliant, and scalable Sales Operations organization.

The Manager partners closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Data & Analytics, Information Technology, Compliance, Legal, and external technology vendors to align business systems with organizational objectives, improve operational effectiveness, and ensure data integrity across the Sales Operations ecosystem.

The position provides strategic leadership in business systems governance, technology enablement, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company policies, documented procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Business Systems Strategy & Governance



  • Serve as the business owner for the Sales Operations technology portfolio, including Veeva CRM and supporting business applications.
  • Help develop and maintain the Sales Operations Business Systems roadmap by evaluating business needs, prioritizing enhancement requests, and recommending technology investments.
  • Assist the Director with the governance, administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of Veeva CRM and supporting Sales Operations systems.
  • Propose governance standards for system configuration, release management, enhancement requests, user adoption, and change management.
  • Evaluate business requirements and translate operational needs into scalable technology solutions that improve organizational performance.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in Veeva CRM capabilities, product roadmap, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Stay informed of CRM releases and lead evaluation, testing, implementation, and communication of new functionality including Vault CRM migration and future platform capabilities.


CRM Administration & User Enablement



  • Provide operational leadership for the Veeva CRM Help Desk, including application support, issue resolution, ticket management, user guidance, and service prioritization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CRM functionality, integrations, data integrity, and overall system performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and business partners to implement and optimize CRM capabilities including KOL Engagement, Omnichannel, Next Best Action, Integrated Scheduling, CLM, Rep Triggered Emails, and future platform enhancements.
  • Coordinate and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and new functionality.
  • Develop and deliver Initial Sales Training (IST) and ongoing end-user training programs that improve system adoption and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, functional specifications, process documentation, test scripts, training materials, and system documentation.
  • Lead organizational change management activities associated with business system implementations, upgrades, and new functionality to maximize user adoption and minimize operational disruption.


Business Systems Integration & Management



  • Lead business systems integration initiatives involving Veeva CRM, Data Lake, Sales Reporting Suite, Fulfillment vendors, and future enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology and third-party vendors to design, implement, maintain, and optimize integrated business solutions supporting Sales Operations.
  • Ensure CRM data integrations are accurate, timely, secure, and available to support reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making.
  • Manage technology vendor relationships by coordinating enhancement requests, monitoring service performance, resolving issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional technology projects from business requirements through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency, scalability, automation, and business performance.
  • Identify integration risks and proactively implement solutions that improve operational reliability and business continuity.


Sales Operations Support



  • Maintain Sales Roster data including personnel information, organizational hierarchy, promotions, transfers, territory assignments, new hires, terminations, restructures, and quarterly alignment changes.
  • Keep Sales Operations master data organized, accurate, and synchronized across all integrated business systems.
  • Manage organizational changes and sales force expansions through effective business system configuration and operational readiness planning.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to ensure organizational structure changes are successfully reflected across business systems and downstream reporting.


Process Excellence & Business Analytics



  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes, workflows, technology utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives that standardize business processes, automate manual activities, and establish best practices across the Sales Operations technology portfolio.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, operational dashboards, system health metrics, and user adoption analytics.
  • Utilize operational metrics, user adoption data, and business performance analytics to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Participate in Business Reviews by providing business insights, operational recommendations, and technology improvement opportunities.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging technology to improve business performance and user experience.


Cross-Functional Leadership



  • Build strong partnerships with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Data & Analytics, Information Technology, Compliance, Legal, and external vendors.
  • Serve as the primary business representative for system enhancement discussions, technology initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives while balancing operational priorities and business needs.


Compliance, Risk & Data Governance



  • Ensure business systems operate in accordance with company policies, documented procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Promote data integrity through standardized governance processes, system controls, documentation, and quality practices.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation, validated business processes, and operational controls.
  • Partner with Compliance, Quality, and Information Technology to identify operational risks and implement sustainable mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain documentation supporting system configurations, business processes, integrations, validation activities, training, and change management.
  • Ensure technology solutions support regulatory expectations while maintaining operational efficiency and business continuity.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience of interacting with all levels of management, vendors, consultants, sales teams, and field sales management highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational/communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.
  • Must be technology proficient in various computer applications such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to organize and manage multiple projects and assignments.
  • Ability to make sound judgment with independent decision-making, with the ability to proceed on own initiative where necessary and when needed.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters and information with discretion and diplomacy and to have a security mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to rapid change.
  • Must be easily adaptable to new learning situations, know how to set priorities, be proactive, and work with limited supervision.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:



  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • 10% travel expected.


Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $110,000 to $140,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.

You also will be able to participate in a competitive benefits package, including but not limited to: health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401k company match, company paid life insurance and health and wellness benefits. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards, employee stock purchase programs and participation in our Company's discretionary annual bonus program.
