The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (DOHNS) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking an experienced researcher to fill a newly established Associate/Full Professor tenure-track position. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative department that values research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and education of the next generation of clinicians and scientists. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable record of successful extramural research funding and leading an independent research program that can be continued at UW-Madison. Evidence of a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration is expected. The selected finalist will be expected to demonstrate an ability to mentor junior researchers and graduate students and postdoctoral trainees. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be critical to being successful in this role.

As an interdisciplinary academic research institution, our department actively fosters collaborative research across specialty areas and with colleagues throughout the university and healthcare system. The successful candidate will contribute to the expanding research portfolio of DOHNS and participate in teaching graduate students, postdoctoral trainees, undergraduates, medical students, residents, and fellows. This includes participation in our NIDCD-funded T32 training program.
