Developmental-Behavioral or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician

The University of California, Irvine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a passionate, board-certified or board-eligible specialist in neurodevelopment or behavioral disorders to join The Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CAND).

We are looking for dedicated candidates with expertise in caring for children, adolescents, and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other developmental conditions. About CAND

Established in 2001, CAND has a proud history as a leader in medical assessment, diagnosis, care coordination, family support, and education. Backed by recent funding increases and a powerful collaboration between UC Irvine, CHOC, and Chapman University, CAND has expanded its reach. We now provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care for individuals from birth through age 22, operating out of the state-of-the-art UCI Health-Irvine medical complex alongside the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, Ambulatory Care, and the Acute Care Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

* Clinical Care: Provide expert clinical evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment services for a diverse patient population (birth to age 22).

* Quality Management: Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

* Education & Teaching: Teach, train, and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and multidisciplinary team members.

* Scholarly Work & Research: Engage in scholarly activities with strong institutional encouragement and support to participate in clinical research.

* Community Engagement: Serve as an advocate and educator through local community outreach programs.

* MD or DO from an accredited institution with appropriate clinical training and experience.

* Eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.

* Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics, with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Pediatric Neurology, or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.

* Candidate must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service and/or research suitable to the HS Clinical Professor series.
