Requisition ID req37830 Working Title Programmer Analyst 1 Position Grade 12 Position Summary The University of New Mexico Southwest Center for Advancing Clinical & Translational Innovation (SW CACTI), located within the Health Sciences Center, is seeking a part-time Programmer Analyst 1 to support the preparation and delivery of clinical data for research. Working under the direct supervision of senior technical staff, the Programmer Analyst 1 will assist with gathering data-request requirements; developing and maintaining routine to moderately complex queries and scripts; extracting, cleaning, linking, validating, and documenting datasets; and applying established safeguards for data security and patient privacy. The position will collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and Informatics team members to support clear, actionable, and compliant research data requests. SW CACTI is part of the national Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) consortium, funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, National Institutes of Health. Translational science supports the movement of discoveries from laboratory and clinical research into health systems and communities. Duties and Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis. The anticipated schedule is 20 hours per week and will be established with the supervisor based on operational needs and candidate availability. Candidates who are not local must be willing to relocate at their own expense if required for the approved work arrangement. *Finalists may be asked to submit up to three work samples representing a range of relevant products, such as code samples, technical documentation, data dictionaries, formatted reports, GitHub links, or comparable materials.
