Description
The starting rate for this position is $17.33. Incremental increases are earned through developing skills and qualifications. Summary The purpose of this position is to support facility operations through shipping and receiving, biosecurity and site security, truck wash operations, and inventory support. This position is responsible for receiving parts, supplies, and other materials delivered to the facility, verifying shipments, and assisting with the distribution of received items to the appropriate departments. This position serves as a point of contact for individuals entering the facility and supports site security and biosecurity requirements by signing in visitors, contractors, and service providers and assisting them in reaching the appropriate personnel or work area in accordance with facility procedures. The position is also responsible for operating the truck wash and ensuring vehicles entering the Line of Separation (LOS) are properly washed and processed in accordance with established biosecurity procedures. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the organization, monitoring, and maintenance of inventory and supplies necessary to support the facility's biosecurity program. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Physical Demands Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to climb up to 150ft by ladder. Work Environment Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. Employee may work in outside environment where temperatures vary seasonally. Clothing must be worn based on seasonal weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Certain areas may be loud enough to require ear protection. All personal protective equipment will be provided and required during certain working conditions and in certain areas.
