Our Iowa City facility depends on skilled, safety-focused technicians who keep critical systems running every day. As an Electrical & Instrument Technician II, you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining the systems that keep our Iowa City power plant operating safely and reliably. Working across electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and process control systems, you'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, support repairs, and contribute to the continuous operation of a critical energy facility. In this role, you'll work on a variety of equipment and technologies, including electrical systems up to 480V, instrumentation and calibration devices, emissions monitoring equipment, motors, pneumatic systems, and plant control components. You'll collaborate closely with experienced technicians and operations personnel to identify issues, improve equipment performance, and support plant reliability. You'll also gain exposure to a wide range of industrial maintenance activities, from instrumentation tubing and calibration work to electrical troubleshooting and equipment repairs, while building deep knowledge of plant systems and processes through hands-on experience and training. Compensation Hourly Range: $33.41 - $51.19 USD hourly This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
