Job Summary

The Marketing & Business Development Intern will support Richard's efforts to strengthen its brand, communicate its capabilities, and identify opportunities for continued growth. Working alongside the Marketing and Business Development teams, you will gain hands-on experience with content development, digital marketing, proposals, market research, events, client development, and strategic growth initiatives. This internship is ideal for a student interested in gaining experience at the intersection of marketing, communications, sales, and business strategy within the construction industry.

Opportunities

  • Assist with the development of marketing materials, presentations, proposals, and qualifications packages.
  • Support social media and digital content development.
  • Assist with writing, editing, and organizing company and project content.
  • Help maintain project profiles, employee resumes, photography, and marketing assets.
  • Support company branding initiatives and internal communications.
  • Assist with market and industry research to identify potential clients, projects, and growth opportunities.
  • Research prospective clients and business development opportunities.
  • Support proposal and pursuit coordination.
  • Assist with client presentations and meeting preparation.
  • Help coordinate company events, conferences, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Track marketing and business development activities and maintain relevant databases.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Preconstruction, and other departments to gather project information.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with an interest in storytelling, branding, and business strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CRM platforms, social media tools, or similar software is a plus.
  • Interest in construction, architecture, engineering, real estate, or professional services is a plus.
  • Desire to learn and grow within a collaborative organization.
