What You'll Do
As the Human Resources Generalist, you will provide broad HR support across recruitment, employee relations, benefits, payroll, HR systems, records, and employee communications. This position will work closely with the Director of Human Resources and program leaders to support staffing needs, strengthen the employee experience, and promote Catholic Charities as a mission-driven employer of choice.

  • Provide HR Administrative Support: Support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, including employee records, communications, projects, events, and department initiatives.
  • Partner Across Core HR Functions: Work collaboratively with the Director of Human Resources on payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, employee engagement, and initiatives that strengthen the Agency's culture and employee brand.
  • Administer Payroll and Benefits: Support payroll processing, benefits administration, employee enrollment and changes, vendor coordination, reporting, and timely response to employee questions related to pay, benefits, and HR programs.
  • Coordinate Recruitment and Candidate Pipelines: Support full-cycle recruitment by posting opportunities, reviewing applications and resumes, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, supporting onboarding, maintaining accurate employee files, and conducting outreach to local colleges and universities to build a strong pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Strengthen External Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with schools, career programs, community organizations, and other partners to increase awareness of Catholic Charities and support recruitment and outreach efforts.


Salary & Benefits
$49,00-$55,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, communications, or a related field required.
  • 2 to 5 years of previous experience in human resources or recruitment
  • Experience using applicant tracking, HRIS, payroll, or other web-based HR systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, required.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance on vehicle required.
