Shore United Bank is hiring a full-time Commercial Services Officer to join our team.The Commercial Services Officer is responsible for supporting the growth, delivery, and ongoing effectiveness of commercial banking products and services by serving as a key liaison between clients, sales teams, and operational partners. This role supports the Bank's commercial banking objectives by helping ensure solutions are implemented efficiently, client relationships are strengthened, and service standards are consistently maintained. Operating in a client-facing and operational support capacity, the position facilitates the successful adoption and utilization of commercial deposit accounts, merchant processing and treasury management products and services (commercial services) while identifying opportunities to enhance customer value and business growth. The role also contributes to organizational effectiveness through sound risk management, regulatory compliance, and the accurate coordination of commercial service activities.

A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):



  • Generates deposits and fee income in support of individual and bank goals by actively selling and promoting commercial services to new and existing customers.
  • Provides commercial services support to commercial bank customers. Collaborate with bank sales personnel for client discussions and on-site demonstrations involving commercial services product and service selection.
  • Connect customer need and process to banking solutions by providing high quality proformas and pricing plans that directly make an impact through business solutions for each individual business customer.
  • Implements services for customers, handles customers' requests for service and identifies customer issues that require research and follow through
  • Provides customer training for commercial services.
  • Monitors and reviews customer usage of commercial services and makes recommendations for change and implementation of new functionality to management as necessary.
  • Maintains strong audit practices, logs of tasks performed including implementations and calls, and complete documentation of actions.
  • Actively promotes and develops cross sale opportunities for all business lines to include Wye Financial, lending and deposits.
  • Demonstrates compliance awareness by completing all required regulatory and compliance training (e.g., BSA, CRA, ECOA) on or before deadlines, and actively supporting all policies, procedures, and practices that promote risk management, safety, and regulatory adherence.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, SAFE Act, etc.; ensures that the office and all personnel adhere to the same.
  • Participates in required training sessions, including training for compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures.


Location: This position can work from one of two locations:



  • Commerce Street Branch - 109 N Commerce St, Centreville, MD 21617
  • Dover Street Branch - 18 E Dover St, Easton, MD 21601


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:



  • Full-time.
  • Exempt.
  • Days of Work: Monday-Friday.


Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:



  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Possess or be working toward a degree in business, finance or related field or possess a comparable level of education and experience.
  • 3+ years in the financial services or payments industry selling products or services aligned with supporting business cash flow or local sales experience within a portfolio of business clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities daily
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel to/from client locations for business development and customer service requirements throughout the Mid Shore region.


Compensation:



  • The pay range for this position is $96,700 to $117,400 annually.
  • Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
