Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training in electronics, manufacturing technology, quality systems, or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, process layouts, specifications, and work instructions.


Experience Requirements



  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, testing, quality, or production environment preferred.
  • Experience operating test and measurement equipment preferred.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining production or quality records.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Toyota Production System concepts, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, visual controls, and shop floor processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Manual dexterity required to handle testing equipment, components, and production materials.
  • Ability to work with computer systems and electronic testing equipment for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of maintaining accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.


Job Duties



  • Perform production testing of specialty fiber and cable products according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Operate advanced test and measurement equipment to evaluate product performance and verify specifications.
  • Review manufacturing drawings, process layouts, recipes, and workmanship requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor testing processes, equipment condition, and workflow to support efficient production operations.
  • Document and maintain accurate test results, measurements, and traceability records within manufacturing databases.
  • Communicate testing results, quality concerns, and process issues to Production and Engineering teams.
  • Verify in-process quality and ensure products meet established customer and company requirements.
  • Exercise sound judgment to prevent nonconforming products from progressing through production.
  • Maintain audits, checklists, and visual controls to support quality and process consistency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, waste reduction, quality enhancement, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing activities and assist other departments as business needs require.
