Job Title: Lead Attendant

Department: Operations

Reports To: Supervisor / City Manager / Area Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Required to work during normal business hours. Any overtime must be pre-approved.

Work Location: In-person onsite at assigned facility

Position Overview:

The Lead Attendant is responsible for overseeing valet parking services at assigned stations, lots, or facilities. This role ensures customer service excellence, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety regulations while managing revenue collection, staff supervision, and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Includes but is not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned:



  • Customer Service & Professionalism:

    • Provide a courteous and professional relationship with all customers, vendors, subordinates, co-workers, and managers.
    • Maintain visibility and engage with guests or tenants to provide assistance and information.


  • Revenue Collection & Financial Oversight:

    • Properly collect, record, and deposit all monies received during each shift according to company policies.
    • Maintain accuracy in financial reporting and ensure secure handling of bank deposit bags (if applicable).


  • Site Maintenance & Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure that the facility is clean and well-maintained throughout the shift.
    • Monitor and maintain signage to uphold compliance with parking and safety regulations.
    • Report vehicles meeting impound criteria to the supervisor.


  • Operations & Timekeeping Compliance:

    • Accurately clock in/out at scheduled work times using the designated timekeeping system.
    • Ensure timely completion and submission of all timecards according to payroll requirements.
    • Respond to and resolve payroll inquiries or corrections in accordance with company standards.


  • Appearance & Conduct:

    • Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times.
    • Wear the designated uniform (if required) and display identification badge.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
    • One to three months of related experience or training desirable.
    • Comfortable with data entry using electronic devices.


  • Licenses:

    • Valid state-issued driver's license and proof of insurance.
    • Must be able to pass a company driving skills test.


  • Language Skills:

    • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.


  • Mathematical Skills:

    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.


  • Reasoning Ability:

    • Ability to apply common sense when performing duties and following written and oral instructions.

    • Must be able to stand, walk, run, sit, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.
    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


  • Work Conditions:

    • Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather.
    • Noise levels vary from moderate to occasionally loud.

  • Must be able to transfer or relocate to another facility/location without notice as needed.

  • All employees are subject to internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding revenue recording, handling, and deposits.
  • Failing an internal audit may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
