Regions Hospital has a great opportunity to join our nursing leadership team as an Inpatient Nurse Manager for our NE6 Mental Health Unit and work with an incredible team of people who have a passion for caring for others! We are seeking a strategic, proactive, and optimistic leader to work with an incredible team of patient care staff who have a passion for caring for others.

Northeast 6 unit has 20 private rooms/bathrooms (some handicapped accessible) and provides care to patients 18 years and older that are experiencing an acute mental health illness of high acuity. In addition, patients may have medical/surgical conditions that are being treated and require intervention.

Under the direction of the Director and Vice President, the Nurse Manager is responsible for directing, planning, coordinating and supervising activities associated with patient care. This includes establishing, maintaining and evaluating standards of care and assuming responsibility for staff development, environmental, human resources and fiscal management.

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE. Exempt. Mostly days Monday-Friday. Requires working into the evening on occasion. 24/7 accountability with ability to take phone calls on off shifts to support patient care issues as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or AD in Nursing and Baccalaureate degree in a related field,

AND

Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Education, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Life Sciences (e.g. Chemistry)

OR

Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program with an established date of completion.

Experience:

Four (4) years (8,320 hours) acute care RN experience with two (2) years (4160 hours) in a nursing leadership position, e.g. Assistant Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.

Demonstrates at the time of employment and every two years thereafter, competency in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Nurse Manager experience

Mental Health Nursing experience
