The Division of Endocrinology at Boston Children's Hospital is one of the largest and most accomplished pediatric endocrinology team of experts in the world. Our program brings together experienced pediatric endocrinologists, endocrinology nurses, diabetes nurse educators, registered dietitians, and mental health professionals who are at the top of their field. The types of endocrine conditions we treat include diabetes, disorders of growth, decreased bone mineral density, and acute and chronic disorders of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, and gonads (testicles and ovaries). These glands, and the hormones (chemical messengers) they control, play an integral role in your child's growth and development. Key responsibilities: Assisting clinician during examinations, obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic. Point of Care Testing (POCT). Completing retina Vue screening with a camera. Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed. Working in a pediatric endocrine practice with a wide variety of patient care needs. Scheduling of patients, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures. Collecting, verifying and recording required information. Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems. Downloading information from patient diabetes devices. Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and perform general office support tasks. Working in Boston/Longwood (333 Longwood Ave), Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm with the exception of the second Wednesday of the month 10am-6:30pm for an evening clinic. Minimum qualifications: Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 1 year pediatric Clinical Assistant or related experience. The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
