VSP Ventures has a full-time floating Optometrist opportunity available across the greater Sacramento area, including Sacramento Optometric Group, Midtown Optometric Group, El Dorado Hills Optometric Center, Auburn Family Optometry, and Oak Tree Optometry. What you'll do: In this floating role, you'll provide full-scope optometric care and help patients see their best each day across multiple Sacramento-area practice locations. Depending on the location, you may perform comprehensive eye exams, assess and manage ocular conditions and diseases, use digital retinal imaging and other advanced diagnostic tools, and partner with the care team to deliver a seamless patient experience. This is a full-time opportunity with a Monday-Friday schedule, eight hours per day, and caring for 16-18 patients per day.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
