Who we are looking for:

Cornerstone Servicing is seeking an experienced Default Analyst to join our team in Englewood, CO! This individual will be responsible for ensuring adherence to established work rules, goals & objectives to improve Tier rankings and streamlining end of month reporting. Default Analyst will also work closely with all default departments to ensure proper coding of the loans from a call perspective to events being updated timely and accurately. The candidate will be expected to establish/maintain a culture of team collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to customer service and satisfaction.




  • Location: Houston, TX
  • Compensation: $50-60k



Key Responsibilities:




  • Ensure collection and loss mitigation milestones/timelines are reported correctly in accordance with statutory compliance, regulatory compliance, and company guidelines.
  • Provide guidance to the team by establishing and/or enhancing default reporting procedures in compliance with all state, federal, Investor, Insurer, Agency, and Company guidelines.
  • Achieve department goals by validating all default reporting by month end prior to end of month transmissions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to drive quality improvement in Default Reporting.
  • Assist and/or oversee default related projects, such as internal audits responses and default related loan reviews.
  • Provide recommendations to management on default reporting process improvement opportunities within the department and outside, where applicable, to minimize risk exposure.
  • Follow departmental and business policies with strict adherence.
  • Prioritize allocated work to ensure timely and accurate resolution to both external and internal partners.



What you'll need to be successful:




  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ Years Mortgage Servicing Experience Preferred
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of default reporting process from beginning to end.
  • BKFS and BKFS Desktop Solution Experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of basic computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience in First Line of Defense control implementation
  • Leadership and proficient knowledge of federal regulations, state laws, ad GSE/government requirements
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to exercise prudent judgment to prioritize a complex workload with time sensitive deadlines
  • Exceptional organization and time management a must
  • Results oriented and ability to adapt and be comfortable with change based on the business needs
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in addition to verbal/written communication
  • Ability to work through stressful situations professionally
  • Must display Personal Accountability
  • Attention to detail
