The Cleanroom Assembly Lead is responsible for leading and supporting the assembly and testing of electromechanical components and subassemblies used in gas delivery systems. This role provides day-to-day work direction to cleanroom assembly personnel, supports production schedules, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical coursework, vocational training, or an Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cleanroom manufacturing or production environment.
- Previous leadership or team lead experience required.
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with gas delivery systems, modules, subassemblies, or similar precision equipment preferred.
- Experience performing helium leak testing, inspection, and functional testing is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor assembly team members.
- Strong knowledge of cable routing, harness assembly, wiring, crimping standards, and soldering.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electromechanical systems.
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Strong manual dexterity and visual acuity required for detailed assembly and inspection work.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment while wearing required PPE.
Job Duties
- Lead daily cleanroom assembly operations and provide direction to assembly technicians.
- Build, assemble, and test electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies for gas delivery systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists to ensure accurate assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and bench tools to complete high-quality assemblies.
- Develop production schedules in partnership with the Manufacturing Manager and help ensure deadlines are met.
- Train employees on assembly procedures, workmanship standards, safety practices, and quality requirements.
- Perform advanced inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical components and systems.
- Support 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in production meetings and communicate priorities and updates to the team.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards.
