Education Requirements



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or additional manufacturing training preferred.
  • Ability to read production documents, work instructions, blueprints, and product specifications.
  • Basic computer skills required for production documentation and recordkeeping.


Experience Requirements



  • 1 to 3 years of manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment and following detailed production processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Experience documenting production data and following ISO or regulated manufacturing procedures is beneficial.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Technical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance background preferred.
  • Experience with extrusion, fiber optic, optical fiber, cable manufacturing, or related processes is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Solid math skills, including fractions, decimals, conversions, measurements, and basic formulas.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, and work throughout a scheduled shift.
  • Ability to safely handle manufacturing materials, chemicals, and production equipment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
  • Capable of working in a manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.


Job Duties



  • Set up, operate, and monitor fiber draw towers used to manufacture specialty fiber optic products.
  • Follow work orders, process recipes, production prints, and workmanship standards to meet customer and engineering specifications.
  • Review materials, specifications, and process requirements prior to production.
  • Monitor production processes and perform quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing process issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Support process engineering initiatives, new product development, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation.
  • Properly handle, label, and dispose of chemicals and manufacturing materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow 6S, ISO, and company safety standards.
  • Support additional production departments and manufacturing operations as needed.
