What's the Short Version?

The Credit Trainer brings comprehensive expertise in Credit Department policies and procedures. This role is responsible for delivering direct training sessions to the Credit Team and collaborating with other team-specific trainers to provide ongoing refresher courses. Working closely with Leadership and the training team, the Credit Trainer designs and facilitates programs that strengthen communication skills, reinforce professionalism, and align with SanMar's commitment to exceptional customer service and core Family Values.

What Will You Be Doing?



  • Participate in the Credit Department hiring process, including onboarding and completion of new hire paperwork.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training curriculum and schedules for new hires; collaborate with position-specific training helpers.
  • Develop and implement ongoing training programs to support skill development and performance improvement across the Credit team.
  • Conduct training for existing team members through refresher courses, one-on-one coaching, and soft skills development.
  • Evaluate team members' knowledge, identify skill gaps, and tailor training to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training materials and documentation in systems including but not limited to Confluence, Spokane, and Clothesline.
  • Support Credit Department operations as needed, including collections, order approvals, account maintenance, and customer communication
  • Ensure effective communication across the Credit team, including new hires, trainers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Uphold SanMar's commitment to exceptional customer service and Family Values in all training and support activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.



What Are We Looking For?



  • 4+ years full Account Receivable cycle or collection experience or equivalent education
  • Proficient in D365, MS Teams, Salesforce, Cybersource, ASM, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a history of finding mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Demonstrated de-escalation and negotiation skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Flexible and positive approach towards change, demonstrating alignment with SanMar's Family Values.



What's Our Offer?

Salary Range: You`ll earn between $25.00 - $34.65 (WA, NJ); $22.88 - $31.70 (MN, NV, TX, VA); $22.00 - $30.49 (AZ, ID, FL MT, OH) on an hourly basis, depending on experience.

Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.

Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?

Remote: Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in-person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds.
