Aquent is seeking a dynamic Content Communications Specialist to join a global leader in the beauty and personal care industry. This innovative company is renowned for its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and pioneering advancements that shape the future of its field. As a key partner, Aquent is excited to offer you the opportunity to contribute to a company that values creativity, impact, and a forward-thinking approach to communication.

Are you a creative, entrepreneurial self-starter with a social-first mindset, eager to make a significant impact on how a leading global organization communicates its story? This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the narrative for a pivotal division, bringing bold, human, and inspiring content to life. You will be instrumental in enhancing employee engagement, building external reputation, and driving strategic communications that highlight innovation and expertise. Your contributions will directly influence how employees connect with the company's vision and how external stakeholders perceive its groundbreaking work.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Engagement & Internal Communications

  • Support the planning, development, and execution of internal meetings and all-hands events, bringing creative ideas to make these moments engaging, energizing, and impactful.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and celebration initiatives, including recognition programs and events that strengthen team cohesion across diverse sites, finding inventive ways to make employees feel seen and connected regardless of location.
  • Help develop and implement internal communications plans that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with strategy, priorities, and achievements - always with an eye toward how creative storytelling can make even operational updates feel relevant and exciting.
  • Create compelling, imaginative content for internal channels - including newsletters, intranet, digital signage, and video - that celebrates excellence, safety achievements, sustainability milestones, and employee stories in ways that feel fresh, not formulaic.

Reputation Building & Storytelling

  • Bring a social-first, creative mindset to everything - actively seeking out the human stories, unexpected angles, and visually compelling moments that make content stop the scroll and spark conversation.
  • Partner with leadership to generate proactive internal and external content that highlights innovation, sustainability leadership, digital transformation, manufacturing excellence, and employee expertise.
  • Bring stories to life through diverse and creative formats including social content, short-form video, photography, case studies, multimedia storytelling, and beyond - always thinking about how to reach audiences where they are and in formats they actually want to consume.
  • Support collaboration with media relations and brand communications teams to identify earned media opportunities, industry events, and thought leadership platforms for leaders.
  • Contribute creative concepts and fresh ideas that help the leadership team stand out, both internally and externally, as innovators and culture carriers within the organization.

Strategic Communications Planning & Project Management

  • Manage and track multiple communications projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills and a bias for action, ensuring timely delivery, consistent quality, and alignment with broader communications strategy.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and measurement of division-level communications plans, processes, and programs that support the leadership team in achieving their goals.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by proactively identifying new communication opportunities, emerging channels, and creative approaches to elevate the narrative - and then making them happen.
  • Partner with leadership and subject matter experts on key initiatives including sustainability, industry transformation, safety excellence, and community engagement programs, translating complex topics into accessible and engaging communications.
  • Act as a creative thought partner to leadership, bringing new ideas, formats, and perspectives that keep the communications program dynamic and forward-looking.

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in communications, corporate affairs, or a related field, with a genuine passion for storytelling, creativity, and employee engagement.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex operational and technical information into clear, creative, and engaging content across multiple formats and channels - from a leadership presentation to a short-form social media caption.
  • Social-first, creative thinker who understands how to adapt messages and content for digital and social platforms, and who brings a portfolio mindset to their work.
  • Highly organized, entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously without missing a beat.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, new information, and evolving business needs - comfortable with ambiguity and energized by a challenge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent judgment, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience contributing to event planning and execution, ideally for employee-facing programs or large-scale internal events.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working cross-functionally and building relationships with internal stakeholders across diverse teams and functions, including senior leadership.
