WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Jefferson County Human Services Department works diligently to make sure all citizens of the County can access effective and comprehensive human services in an integrated and efficient manner. WHAT YOU WILL DO The purpose of this position is to provide a wide range of mid-level administrative and office support activities for the Children, Youth & Families Division to facilitate efficient operations to best meet the needs of the clients and/or consumers. SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES You will be successful in this role by completing the following tasks and responsibilities: Audits and tracks documentation to ensure compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to meet requirements and mandates of programming to avoid remediation and disallowances. Provides backup to the clerical staff. Performs general clerical and customer service duties such as answering phones, greeting the public, answering general questions, and processing mail. Schedules appointments and maintains calendars essential for meeting critical deadlines and timeframes. Creates, updates, and completes a variety of documents, including memos, letters, forms, and reports. May also transcribe case manager notes and proofread/edit client evaluations. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with one to two years related experience and/or training required; or associate's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Requirements: Three years related experience and/or training; or associate's degree and one year experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
