Position Title: CNC Machinist
Wage: $28.00-$31.00/hour DOE Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday QPS Employment Group has a great CNC Machinist position available in Tomball, TX. This is a 1st shift opportunity with a growing engineering and manufacturing team specializing in custom-machined components. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys working in a prototype and low-volume environment rather than a production setting. CNC Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and machine parts according to drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job routers - Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machines - Make tool and wear offsets as needed - Verify program revisions and edit G-code when required - Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments - Maintain quality standards and accurately document inspection results - Assist with routine machine maintenance and upkeep - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area CNC Machinist Requirements: - Minimum 2-3 years of CNC machining or machine operation experience - Experience setting up CNC machines - Ability to read and edit G-code - Experience with Fanuc controls required - Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills - Experience performing offsets and machine adjustments - Lathe experience required - Experience with HAAS or Doosan lathes preferred - Mill experience is a plus - Background in prototype, R&D, or custom machining environments preferred - Familiarity with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection processes - Positive attitude and strong work ethic - Must be authorized to work in the United States Why This Opportunity? - Competitive pay based on experience - Stable Monday-Friday schedule with limited overtime - Opportunity to work on unique, custom-machined components rather than repetitive production work - Long-term potential-to-hire opportunity with excellent benefits available upon permanent hire IND999 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
