Position Title: Utility Scanner
Wage: $20.00/hour Shift: Day or Night 12-Hours Hours: 6:00am-6:00pm or 6:00pm-6:00am We are currently seeking candidates for a Utility Scanner position in Kansas City, MO. Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. This role requires flexibility to work weekends as needed and involves working outdoors in various weather conditions. Don't miss this temporary opportunity on day or night, 12-hour shift. Utility Scanner Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Drive your own vehicle to storage lots, scan vehicles vin numbers and compare it to the drop off sheets, along with monitoring damages - Bay, dekey, and yard organization while maintaining accountability for results - Facilitate clear and professional communication between shifts, including detailed messages and updates; communication with haulers, drive team, and management - Handle on-the-spot challenges, including missing keys, unscanned loadsheets, and yard discrepancies - Perform yard counts, communicating with haulers, and drive or walk around lots daily - Maybe to travel to other lots throughout their day Driver Responsibilities: - Safely operate personal vehicle following traffic laws and safety policies - Monitor and enforce safety protocols, along with documenting and escalating issues to management, including performance concerns, yard updates, and equipment needs - Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report any issues - Ensure safe employee entry/exit and follow assigned routes - Maintain a clean vehicle and report incidents promptly Utility Scanner Requirements: - Absolutely no driving of units - Sleeping on the job is strictly prohibited - Handwriting must be legible at all times - Must arrive and leave on time, with mandatory clocking in and out - Must stay at post until relieved - Appropriate clothing for weather conditions and mandatory work boots - Must have reliable personal transportation - Must inform of availability in advance; non-compliance may affect leave approvals - Full accountability for all events during shift - Personal liability for any vehicle used; cautious driving recommended - Efficient use of downtime, staying alert and prepared - Timely and accurate completion of work as it arrives - Time management skills, essential due to fast-paced and heavy workload when activity happens - Ability to manage tasks quickly and effectively within shift - Attention to detail; ensuring accuracy in all responsibilities - Capable of working under various weather conditions and adjusting to varying workload - Clear and proactive communication regarding availability and job-related inquiries IND060 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
