Summary
The Procurement Specialist I manages and executes operational procurement activities in support of the buying requirements of category or Business Unit. Adheres to strategic supply chain category strategies, targets and schedules in order to achieve goals and objectives for cost management, supplier management including supplier diversity and process improvement. Manages Business Unit partnerships to deliver excellent customer service. Executes Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process in an efficient and cost effective manner while supporting continuous process improvement and customer satisfaction. Minimum Requirements
A four-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or other job-related discipline from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years experience in materials or services positions. In lieu of bachelor's degree, six (6) years of significant, closely related materials/services/supply chain experience required. Major Accountabilities
1) Serves as primary contact with Business Unit partners and suppliers/contractors/subcontractors to ensure a continuous flow of quality services/labor to meet or exceed service levels at the lowest total cost. Major Accountabilities (Cont.)
5) Manages multiple internal and external stakeholders to influence key aspects of projects, budgets and orders including accelerating their overall progression. Acts as the procurement contact to Business unit on both routine and significant processes/concerns related to Procurement to achieve necessary results. 10.)Demonstrates accountability and ownership by being a self-starter who is proactive, reliable, and results-driven, with a strong sense of urgency and the judgment to effectively prioritize tasks that are urgent and business critical. Tailors communication style and content to the audience to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely execution, and is comfortable communicating with various levels within Supply Chain and Business Unit. Hybrid:Employees in hybrid roles work both in their home offices (virtually) and alongside their colleagues (in person). In order for employees to build strong relationships and to promote meaningful in-person interactions, hybrid employees are expected to work about 40% of their time in-person at an APS or other (non-home office) location.
