Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Location(s): Minneapolis, MN

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Equipment / Production Technician supports manufacturing operations by installing, ramping up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining specialized production equipment and automated manufacturing systems. The role gathers and analyzes production information, performs equipment and product repairs and retesting, and helps resolve manufacturing issues affecting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete manufacturing equipment installations, commissioning, and production ramp-ups.
  • Gather, record, and analyze production data and information.
  • Perform repairs and retesting of products and manufacturing equipment/facilities.
  • Operate and monitor machine control systems used in manufacturing equipment.
  • Support automated production lines and specialized manufacturing machinery.
  • Configure prescribed CNC machine parameters and perform machine setup for production programs.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing-related problems that impact daily operations.
  • Prepare estimates of requirements resulting from process or production changes.
  • Develop and/or verify machine-control system instructions or manuscripts to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Use specialized machines, tools, and equipment in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Follow standardized work routines, manufacturing procedures, safety requirements, and established guidelines.
  • Provide technical support within a defined and focused area of manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Approximately 2 years of vocational/technical training in a relevant manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, automation, or related discipline.
  • Up to 1 year of relevant hands-on manufacturing or production experience.
  • Basic theoretical and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, equipment, and systems.
  • Basic understanding of production procedures, work routines, and standardized manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to operate specialized production machinery and equipment.
  • Familiarity with machine controls and basic CNC parameter configuration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine manufacturing and equipment-related issues.
  • Ability to collect, document, and interpret basic production information.
Work Environment / Level This position operates in a production environment and requires hands-on interaction with specialized machinery, automated production lines, machine-control systems, tools, and manufacturing equipment. The role follows established procedures and guidelines while allowing for specific operational variances based on equipment and production requirements.

The position is intended for an early-career technical professional with formal vocational training and foundational practical experience in a specialized manufacturing environment.
