Maintenance Manager - Crayola Experience, Easton, PA, Full-Time
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manage a team of maintenance and custodial personnel. Responsible for the overall maintenance of the manufacturing equipment, attractions and Crayola Experience (and Store) facility
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the overall repairs and maintenance of attractions and manufacturing equipment at The Crayola Experience/Store including routine maintenance
- Manage and ensure the general custodial maintenance at The Crayola Experience/Store meet established guidelines for clean and neat appearance
- Direct all vendors, contractors and fabricators on the design, fabrication, coordination, maintenance and installation of attractions and building changes.
- Provide audio-visual support on all exhibits throughout The Crayola Experience
- Supervise, assistant manager of facilities, maintenance technicians, custodial team and outside contractors working at CE
- Maintain warranty information for attractions, contacting appropriate vendors to repair if covered in the warrant or service agreement
- Direct all training of manufacturing equipment operators. Ensures operators perform manufacturing functions in a safe manner and are able to make minor repairs and equipment adjustments
- Support CE staff with general maintenance including but not limited to ordering and installing shelving, installing of light fixtures, touch-up paint, etc.
- Assist with deliveries of raw materials and art supplies to CE. Direct the supply and storage chain for all CE inventories at offsite facilities (Forks & Palmer)
- Manage the inventory and order all the raw materials used in the manufacturing department
- Oversee and track all operating costs for attractions, manufacturing, and building repairs.
- Ensure facility is operating within compliance of all OSHA requirements
- Participate in the Manager of the Day rotation and assumes overall management responsibility across all department in that role
- Monitor and repair HVAC systems. (Chillers, air handlers, boilers, pumps, and motors)
- Skilled in electrical work to update/repair facility systems, attractions, theater equipment, vending, ETC.
- Experience in pneumatics to maintain and restore facility attractions.
- Plumbing experience necessary including installs, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Administer building needs such as but not limited to roofing, painting, flooring, drywall, and carpentry.
- Required to be a State Certified Amusement Ride Inspector and renew as needed.
- Communicate with and schedule work of building with Crayola manufacturing engineers. Maintaining the building to company standards.
- Meet all state and company safety standards.
- Oversee all full-time Assistant Facilities Manager and part-time Maintenance Technicians and Custodial employees.
- Direct and install new attractions/takeovers.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical/technical role identifying issues and repairing equipment, exhibits and facility
- Minimum 3 years' experience with professional audiovisual equipment. Must possess electronic and electrical training and the ability to perform electronic troubleshooting
- Previous experience managing a staff of technicians preferred.
- Experience reading blueprints necessary. Must have prior experience working with service contractors and equipment vendors
- Ability to perform manual labor is required to assist with shipments of art supplies and raw materials. In addition, must provide assistance with conference room set-ups for special events.
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Required to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
