Job Summary:

Supervise the cage, count room and money room daily operations including counting and processing of chips/currency. Ensure that the Federal and State regulating guidelines and department procedures are complied with to safeguard company assets. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else, and adheres to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Lead by example.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, delegates effectively and coaches and mentors direct reports for growth opportunities.
  • Safeguarding Canterbury Park's assets and adhere to department policies and procedures.
  • Must adhere to all aspects of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and BSA (Bank Security Act) program and its current regulations; including, but not limited to, Title 31 cash transactions, suspicious activity reporting and customer identification requirements.
  • Maintain positive work relationships with departments through answering questions and resolving concerns.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the facilities, current and upcoming special events and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and department policies and procedures.
  • Communicates department objectives to staff and implements praise and discipline accordingly.
  • Supervise cash operation personnel, directly or through subordinate staff.
  • Prepares federal reserves-ready cash deposits from the vault. Verifies all checks for deposit.
  • Ensure that the amount of currency and coin are on hand to meet daily operation requirements.
  • Assist the Assistant Cash Services Manager in interviewing, scheduling, training and evaluating department employees.
  • Assist in providing employee performance feedback to management staff and employees.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly financial reports to the appropriate departments within the required time frame with accuracy.
  • Prepares daily reports and reconcile beginning and ending cash balances.
  • Provide department coverage when needed.
  • Held accountable to a high degree for accuracy, confidentiality and thoroughness of department's records and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule and subject to change.


Supervision:



  • Cage, Count Team Members, and Money Room Attendants


Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of gaming and cash operations policy and procedures.
  • Excellent basic math skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communications skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must complete BSA training and pass exam with a minimum of 85%.
  • Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, and credit check.
  • Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • High school diploma/GED.
