Description
Good Eye for Details? Great Mind for Solutions? Let's Talk.

At Mayville Engineering Company (MEC), quality is more than catching mistakes. It's about asking the right questions, finding smarter ways to work, and making sure every product we deliver meets the mark.

We're looking for a Quality Engineer who enjoys getting to the root of a problem, working alongside others to find solutions, and seeing improvements come to life on the manufacturing floor. You'll collaborate with Production, Engineering, and customers to solve challenges, strengthen processes, and keep quality moving in the right direction.

If you're curious by nature, confident with the details, and motivated by making things better, there's a place for you at MEC.

Here's Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Put Your Detective Skills to Work: Investigate quality concerns, uncover root causes, and help develop solutions that prevent problems from coming back.

  • Get Into the Details: Review blueprints, engineering prints, specifications, dimensions, and tolerances to make sure products meet design intent and customer expectations.

  • Turn Numbers Into Improvements: Perform inspections and testing, analyze production data, and track quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Be a Problem-Solving Partner: Work with Production and Engineering to address manufacturing challenges and improve product quality, process performance, and reliability.

  • Build Customer Confidence: Help investigate customer complaints, provide technical support, and work toward timely, effective resolutions.

  • Set the Team Up for Success: Support first production runs, initial sample inspections, FMEA activities, and control plans to help get processes right from the start.

  • Keep Quality Documentation on Point: Prepare customer-required documentation, including PPAP submissions, warrants, control plans, ISIRs, and material and finishing certifications.

  • Find a Better Way: Evaluate manufacturing processes, recommend improvements, and support initiatives that strengthen efficiency and quality.

  • Help Us Stay on Track: Participate in quality audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Share What You Know: Help employees understand customer requirements, workmanship standards, and MEC's quality systems.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • A bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least one year of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications related to metal manufacturing.

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to evaluate results and determine whether products meet requirements.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to prepare reports, procedures, and other technical documentation.

  • A sharp eye for detail, a practical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively with different teams.

Why MEC? Because Your Work Should Mean Something.

At MEC, you won't spend your days watching problems happen from the sidelines. You'll be part of the action, working with people who understand the challenges of manufacturing and want to make things better.

  • Your Ideas Count: Bring forward solutions, challenge the status quo, and help improve how we operate.

  • Your Skills Keep Growing: Expand your engineering knowledge and gain hands-on experience solving meaningful manufacturing challenges.

  • Your Team Has Your Back: Build relationships across Production, Engineering, and other departments to accomplish more together.

  • Your Impact Is Real: See how your work influences product quality, customer satisfaction, and manufacturing performance.

  • Your Next Chapter Starts Here: Join a company where continuous improvement is part of the work and every day brings an opportunity to learn something new.
