Patient Care Technicians atThe Johns Hopkins Hospitalprovide highly skilled and compassionate patient and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Patient Care Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice.

The Park Infusion Centerincludes two adult-focused clinics: a Non-Oncology Infusion Clinic and the Adult Sickle Cell Infusion Center. Staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs) and Patient Care Techs (PCTs), work across both areas as part of a collaborative team. The center provides a range of services such as pain management for sickle cell patients, blood transfusions, and IV hydration therapy. This role is ideal for professionals who are compassionate, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Youmust be highly proficient inphlebotomyandstarting IV'sto be considered for this role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
  • 1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience within the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered)
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
