We are hiring an Assistant Day Services Director to provide leadership, supervision, creativity, and administration of the programs to ensure quality and achievement of departmental goals. Provide stewardship to maintain a fiscally sound program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain an environment of organization, support, and a meaningful day for participants.
  • Provide vision and leadership for department in planning and implementing community and facility-based, age-appropriate activities for participants.
  • Act as building supervisor and oversee proper use of building, and overall maintenance, security, and cleanliness of building.
  • Provide supervision; determining staffing needs, staff selection, training, performance/incentive reviews, and disciplinary action.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled required training (SAT, MANDT, and other departmental trainings) and staff meetings.
  • Ensure proper group sizes by establishing and maintaining a daily scheduling system.
  • Maintain quality client files by completing required file audits and providing guidance on required documentation.
  • Routinely monitor facility programming and make community visits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and program standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, CARF standards, Medicaid Waiver, permits and licensing requirements, as well as policies and procedures of Benchmark.
  • Collect and report on data related to Outcome Measurement Departmental goals.
  • Coordinate with community resources in order to provide a variety of quality activities for participants.
  • Promote and market the program by establishing professional relationships with families, Case Managers, Behavioral Consultants, and other potential referral sources.
  • Reasonable suspicion of a crime against an ICF/MR resident must be reported to Indiana State Department of Health and Law Enforcement (Elder Justice Act).
  • Actively participate in Director and departmental meetings, Management Rally, committee meetings, state association meetings, state sponsored meetings, and other meetings as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana Driver's License
  • Experience working with participants with developmental disabilities required.
  • Experience in a Day Service setting preferred bachelor's degree in related field
  • Three years supervisory experience required
