Job Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations. This role receives incoming shipments, verifies materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation, maintains accurate inventory records, and identifies and escalates discrepancies.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and professional communication.

Job Responsibilities



  • Receive incoming shipments from carriers, suppliers, manufacturing facilities, customers, and internal locations.
  • Verify received materials against packing lists, purchase orders, shipping documentation, and inventory system records.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies, damage, missing information, or inconsistencies and report issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
  • Process returned materials and update inventory records as required.
  • Sort, organize, and properly stage incoming materials according to established warehouse procedures.
  • Enter and maintain accurate receiving and inventory information in the inventory management system.
  • Validate product labels, documentation, and identifying information against inventory records.
  • Research and obtain missing shipment or product information using available documentation and resources.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting receiving documentation.
  • Troubleshoot receiving and inventory discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and other internal teams to support efficient receiving and inventory processes.
  • Provide professional and responsive service to internal and external customers.
  • Support inventory accuracy by ensuring materials are properly received, documented, and processed.
  • Maintain established productivity, quality, safety, and operational standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve receiving, inventory, and warehouse processes.
  • Perform additional shipping, receiving, warehouse, and administrative duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when processing shipments and inventory information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve receiving or inventory discrepancies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established processes and procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more as needed.
  • Ability to perform repetitive warehouse activities, including standing, walking, sorting, organizing, and handling materials.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience using an inventory management system, warehouse management system, or ERP platform.
  • Experience processing purchase orders, packing lists, receiving documentation, and returns.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment environment.
  • Experience working with inventory records and product-level data.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with media, entertainment, or related industries.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
