About the Opportunity:
- Works from Engineering prints, specifications, test procedures, schematics, travellers, and verbal instruction.
- Joining, fabricating, and repairing ferrous and non-ferrous metals using GTAW and FCAW per AWS D1,1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.3, AWS D 1.6, and AWS D17.1
- Familiar with welding types, call outs and classifications on drawings.

What You'll Do:
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to applicable quality, engineering and GD&T standards.
- Performs dimensional and visual inspections of Fabrications as required.
- Reviews, understands, and completes all required documentation that accompanies work assignments (including travelers/data package).
- Possesses a dedicated work ethic to expedite all assigned tasks through the department within the guidelines of the Quality Policy and Quality Procedures.
- Maintains a clean, organized work environment through weekly and daily 5-S activities.
- Performs assigned jobs efficiently, with minimal errors and high-quality workmanship.
- Communicates defects, issues, and concerns with supervisor; seeks guidance/instruction as needed.
- Works individually or as a team; willing to cross-train as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ year of experience in Welding with GTAW and FCAW.
- in an aerospace metal contract manufacturing environment.
What Sets You Apart:
- Ability to read/interpret complex blueprints, layouts, drawings, and instructions.
- Must have or acquire and maintain basic required tools to support departmental work assignments.
- Must be able to adapt to various working conditions.
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in welding and machining of complex, close tolerance aerospace components
- Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of Geometric Tolerances, (ANSI-Y 14.5) drawing interpretation and shop math.
- Basic math and geometry skills.
- Vocational training.
- Must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, all essential functions of the job.
- Must be able to communicate in the English language.
