Note: This position requires that the candidate be bilingual in English and Spanish Key Essential Functions/Duties: Compensation
- Final approver for all job and compensation changes including promotions, transfers,demotions, market adjustments, and annual pay increases. Ensuring accuracy of the change andthat all required approvals are obtained prior to approval.
- Maintain compensation records, pay grades and ranges, and employee job data within the HRIS.
- Prepare compensation reports and provide data to HR and business leaders.
- Support annual merit planning and incentive payment administration.
- Complete salary survey participation and compilation of market data.
- Conduct compensation analyses related to internal equity, pay compression, turnover trends,and market competitiveness.
- Generate and present compensation insights and recommendations to HR leadership.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on offer strategy and market-based pay recommendations.
- Support annual compensation benchmarking, market pricing studies, and salary surveyanalysis to ensure external competitiveness.
- Assist in grading out new position requests.
Benefits
- Administer benefit plan eligibility and enrollment processes.
- Monitor benefit utilization and trends and identify opportunities for cost containment and employee engagement.
- Reconcile benefit invoices and assist with vendor audits as needed.
- Create employee benefit communications.
- Partner with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to resolve complex benefit issues and ensure effective service delivery.
- Administer the quarterly 401K eligibility for the union population.
- Lead open enrollment administration, including system testing, employee communications,education sessions, and vendor coordination.
- Assist in evaluating new benefit offerings and annual renewal recommendations.
- Review and process qualifying life event requests.
- Verify dependent eligibility documentation.
- Conduct benefit orientation for new hires within new hire orientation.
- Administer COBRA processes.
- Process evidence of insurability (EOI) requests and follow-up.
- Manage the employee service award program, including monthly birthday and anniversary cards
- Assist the Roskam Wellness Clinic in any events in the plan (flu shots, PHA, etc.).
Compliance and Administration
- Maintain compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, and applicable state regulations.
- Support annual audits and compliance reporting requirements.
- Maintain benefit plan documents and employee notices.
- Administer all I-9 reverifications and employment documentation audits.
- Process National Medical Support Orders and other regulatory notifications.
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience administering compensation and benefits programs.
- Experience managing benefit enrollments, qualifying events, and open enrollment.
- Strong knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA requirements.
- Experience using and updating HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting functions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
- Professional certification: CCP, CEBS, PHR/SPHR, etc.... preferred
- Experience in manufacturing and union environments with multiple locations preferred.
