Job Title: Oncology Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months


Position Summary

The Oncology Specialist collaborates with oncology clinical and operational stakeholders to implement cloud strategies for oncology applications. This role serves as a subject matter expert on oncology applications and clinical workflows, supporting data-driven decision-making and the delivery of cancer care services.

Key Responsibilities

* Serve as a quality consultant and subject matter expert for oncology applications and cloud strategy.

* Collaborate with technical teams to conduct root cause analyses and implement oncology cloud strategies.

* Engage with oncology service line leaders and end-users to assess current technology capabilities and define future-state solutions.

* Design and implement data integration projects supporting oncology teams, clinical research, and patient outcome tracking across multiple platforms.

* Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and ensure alignment with departmental and organizational cancer care goals.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oncology clinical practices, emerging technologies, and interoperability standards (e.g., USCDI, FHIR) to inform analytics solutions.

* Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and value of oncology analytics and reporting.

* Monitor project timelines and task completion to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes on time and within scope.

* Escalate unresolved issues or process gaps to leadership and propose actionable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

* Demonstrated expertise in oncology clinical workflows, electronic medical records (EMRs), and cancer registry data.

* Knowledge of Varian and Elekta cloud strategies in Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology.

* Ability to synthesize complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights for oncology care teams, service line leaders, and clinical researchers.

* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

* Experience working in high-stakes clinical environments and managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

* Strong oncology experience and familiarity with oncology applications.

* Experience with implementation of Varian and Elekta cloud strategies is a plus.

Education & Certifications

* Bachelor's degree required

* Certification in Oncology is nice to have but not required.
