Laboratory Support Technician/Phlebotomist Elyria Part-Time

• Performs specimen procurement and/or processing of laboratory specimens.
• Provides laboratory support functions.
• This position is part of an established career ladder.
• Appropriate title and pay will be assigned based on Education and Experience
• Organizes and performs tasks efficiently to meet departmental turnaround time standards.
• Performs computer data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and/or phlebotomy
• Processes specimens for laboratory testing
• Competent in the collection or processing of specialized samples.
• Performs with minimal error rate.
• Acts as a trainer and is a resource to other Specimen Processor Phlebotomists.
• Needs minimal supervision and problems solves with little or no supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
• Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
• Part time 20 hours per week.
• Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.
• This is the evening shift that will start at 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM.
• Location is Elyria Medical Center.
• Inpatient population.

Sign-on Bonus:

This position is eligible for a $1000 sign-on bonus to eligible candidates. Eligible candidates must be newly hired to UH.

University Hospitals is offering a $1,000 sign on bonus, minus applicable taxes, for designated regular Phlebotomy positions.

Internal Applicants are not eligible for the sign on bonus.
