Position Summary:

Leads the planning and execution of complex, high-visibility, or multi-stakeholder organizational events. Translates strategic objectives into event plans, budgets, timelines, risk controls, communications, and evaluation measures; serves as a primary advisor to stakeholders; and directs vendors and volunteers through delivery. Without staff management responsibility, exercises advanced judgment, resolves varied issues, and improves event practices to maximize organizational impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in event management, communications, marketing, or a related field (Required)
  • One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
  • 5+ years of experience in event planning, donor relations, or a related field (Required)
  • Demonstrated success independently leading complex, high-visibility, or multi-stakeholder events and resolving moderately complex issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
