The Contract Procurement Manager's primary responsibilities are to manage contract procurement for Garver, including other contract procurement staff, and review prime agreements between Garver and its clients, when subcontracted services are to be used, to ensure terms that represent a risk to Garver are correctly integrated into the terms of the subconsultant agreements. This position will advise and support Project Managers and staff by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the legal and commercial elements of Garver subconsultant agreements (including subconsultant master services agreements), amendments, work orders, and other procurement agreements to ensure the subcontract terms comply with the terms of Garver's prime agreements and any applicable guidelines set forth in Garver's policies.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage, train, and assist Garver's contract procurement staff in accomplishing daily tasks.
  • Review prime agreements to identify risk-related terms and ensure appropriate flow-down into subcontracts.
  • Draft, review, and revise subcontracts, master service agreements, amendments, work orders, and related procurement documents.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of contract deliverables.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive legal and proprietary information.
  • Advise and support Project Managers and staff on subcontracting requirements and procurement processes.
  • Summarize and effectively communicate contract requirements, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Assist Commercial Counsel Team with prime agreement review compliance checks.
  • Provide training and support for Subcontract Procurement staff and other Legal staff supporting subcontract development.
  • Negotiate subcontract terms and conditions while ensuring alignment with the applicable prime agreement and company policies.
  • Assist with preparation, distribution, and/or obtaining documents needed to execute a subconsultant agreement while being mindful of the project schedule.
  • Maintain status reports for internal reporting purposes.
  • Support of other ad hoc projects within the Contract Procurement Team and broader Legal Team.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of contracts and procurement fundamentals, including basic legal terminology and risk awareness.
  • Proven history of utilizing organization and attention to detail when managing multiple tasks and documents resulting in high-quality work product.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and applying prudent judgment in handling sensitive information.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with stakeholders and support contract execution.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience working in the AEC industry is an advantage.
